Henlys Corner road safety scheme saved

articlemain

An £8 million road improvement scheme at Henlys Corner which will make crossing the busy junction easier for Finchley Synagogue members is to go ahead as planned. The upgrade had been placed under review, along with all Transport for London projects, until the government's spending plans were made clear.

The signal-controlled crossings will be automated on Shabbat.

Finchley congregants currently face a risky crossing or a 15-minute detour.

The main building work will start next spring.
