Hampstead MP and former actress Glenda Jackson offered praise for the supporting cast when she toured Jewish Care’s Sidney Corob House in West Hampstead.
Ms Jackson visited to congratulate the home’s mental health team, which was honoured at the Great British Care Home Awards.
“It is no less than they deserve,” she said. “I have a great deal of admiration for those who seemingly tirelessly care for those in our society who need extra support.
“I am sure that those who benefit from the care at Sidney Corob House would be the first to agree with me.
“This is a very special home where residents are cared for by an outstanding team of staff.”
The home’s Anthea Jones said that Ms Jackson had charmed residents and staff alike and had stayed more than two hours.
“Many of our residents remember her as an Oscar-winning actress and several of them asked for her autograph.”
