A learning-and-leadership initiative designed to meet the challenges of life on campus and beyond is being rolled out by the Jewish Learning Exchange.

In partnership with the Union of Jewish Students, Tribe and University Jewish Chaplaincy, the JLE’s Genesis programme has been extended to Nottingham after a successful pilot scheme in London.

One-hundred hand-picked students are expected to complete the course this year.

Genesis director Rabbi Avi Hill said that leading communal personalities ran sessions.

There had also been weekend seminars, featuring mock Israeli elections and the opportunity to create a pro-Israel video with the help of a BBC film crew.
