Extending traditional Seder tables

articlemain

World Jewish Relief, Tsedek, Gefiltefest and the Jewish Social Action Forum have come together to publish a haggadah supplement that brings awareness to the national Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign.

The eight-page booklet, titled Let all who are hungry come eat, connects parts of the traditional Seder — ma nishtana, dayeinu and the four sons — to contemporary issues facing countries without enough food.

Richard Verber, World Jewish Relief campaigns manager, said the supplement will offer thought-provoking additions to the Seder, “for those in the community who would like to take the traditional stories and apply them to today”.

Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks and rabbis Jonathan Wittenberg, Neil Janes and Laura Janner-Klausner have contributed to the booklet showing their support for the IF movement’s main aim — to focus the attention of the G8 world leaders on to the issue of world hunger.

Let all who are hungry come eat is available on World Jewish Relief’s website.
