Eden gets go-ahead

articlemain

Haringey Council planning committee has unanimously approved the application for the building for the Eden Jewish Primary, the cross-communal free school. Construction work will begin within the next fortnight.

Eden has opened its reception class and governors' chair Peter Kessler said that on the first day of lessons, "I happened to pass some children walking with their parents while I was driving.

"It was only when I glanced at their uniforms that I realised they were on their way home from Eden Primary.

"It was the first moment when all the plans and work finally became a meaningful reality. It was quite overwhelming."
