British-Iranian comedian Omid Djalili has told 420 Young Norwood supporters that starring in the film, The Infidel, as a Muslim who discovers he was born Jewish, had taught him that, "Muslims and Jews can definitely live side-by-side and work together".

Another speaker at the property committee event in central London was Rosanna Pearson, whose sister Natasha has Down's syndrome and has been supported by Norwood's specialist education arm Hope. "Now my family understands that we can dream for Natasha," she said.

YN property chair Ian Baron said the evening, which raised £105,000, was "about creating a community of leaders in property, passionate about recognising excellence in our sector and, most importantly, supporting those less fortunate".

An expert panel selected Jacob Loftus (Resolution Property) and Daniel Daggers (Knight Frank) for property awards.
