There was standing room only at a showcase evening of the past year’s work by attendees of Cosgrove Care’s Adult Groups workshops.
Among the 200-strong capacity crowd were ministers Ken Macintosh MSP and Jim Murphy MP. “The feelings of warmth and happiness were evident when I entered the room,” said Mr Murphy.
Cosgrove Care runs a wide range of adult workshops including drama, music, yoga, computer training, art and creative writing.
Gillian Greenlaw, Cosgrove’s adult outreach services manager, said the showcase evening “was our way to let people see what happens at the workshops”.
The two-hour workshops, which cost £10, are run by trained facilitators.
Cosgrove Care is a local charity which provides vital services for adults and children with learning disabilities and mental health issues.
