Magen David Adom UK Manchester's annual dinner celebrated raising £250,000, more than doubling income from last year's dinner.
Jonathan Mosery, adviser at the Israeli Ministry of Defence, led the evening's theme focusing on events during the summer's Gaza conflict and MDA's medical role. Mr Mosery also spent the week speaking across the north for the charity. Monday's event was attended by 100 people at Hale and District Hebrew Congregation.
The amount raised is a substantial increase from 2013's £115,000, which funded refurbishment to the MDA station in Hadera, northern Israel. Manchester MDA chairman Jeremy Hart said the fundraising "was a great success".
