Broughton Jewish Primary in Salford has appointed a principal to manage the school’s Jewish studies in a split leadership structure.

Rabbi Yehuda Perlman will move from Prestwich’s Yesoiday Hatorah Primary, where he was a deputy head for eight years. The London-born rabbi previously spent seven years in advanced talmudic studies at Manchester's Shaarei Torah Yeshiva. He starts his new role in January.

Governor Leonard Seitler said the school would wait for Rabbi Perlman to settle in “before looking for our secular head. Rabbi Perlman is suitably qualified for his role and we are excited for his future in the school.”
