The Rev Michael Binstock is stepping down as minister of Staines Synagogue after 11 years. The small West London congregation held a farewell lunch for Rev Binstock and his wife Edith after the Shabbat service. It was an emotional occasion, he told the JC. “I felt that the time had come to step down. I live in Golders Green and it will be nice to stay home for Shabbat.”
