Belsize Square Synagogue celebrated its 75th anniversary with a Limmud-style learning extravaganza.
The "Belsize Lehrhaus" programme included discussions on Jewish identity, relationships with Israel and the recent Parliamentary vote on Palestinian statehood.
There were also sessions on kashrut, the liturgy and why bad things happened to good people.
"We had everything from God to politics," said organiser Rabbi Stuart Altshuler. "It was a terrific, magical day and I'm very proud."
The rabbi noted that the idea of lehrhaus - or "study house" - had added significance for his congregation as "German Jews started the concept of lehrhaus and our synagogue is rooted in those foundations. We also had a session on Kristallnacht, which was significant because the core of our founding members left Germany after Kristallnacht."
A concert and guest speakers have also been part of the 75th programme.
