Barnet’s Mayor, Councillor Brian Schama, came away impressed from a tour of Jewish Care sites across the borough.
He visited the Holocaust Survivors Centre and Ella and Ridley Jacob House in Hendon, ending up at the Maurice and Vivienne Wohl campus in Golders Green, where he viewed facilities including the Otto Schiff care home and Selig Court independent living apartments.
Councillor Schama observed: “I have always said that the Jewish community in the UK has punched well above its weight.
“The Jewish Care facilities I have visited today confirm my view. They are state-of-the-art, beautifully designed and, most importantly, user-friendly.”
