A £10 million donation from the Maurice and Vivienne Wohl Philanthropic Foundation has brought Jewish Care close to its £44 million target for its new Golders Green campus.

The campus, with facilities including a care home, day centre, living apartments and offices, will be dedicated to the late philanthropists.

Jewish Care president Lord Levy said: “We cannot be more thrilled that such a generous gift has been made to our care campus. We are honoured to be able to dedicate the overall campus to the memory of Maurice and Vivienne Wohl — whose generosity over so many years was an inspiration to our community.”

Professor David Latchman, Mr Wohl’s nephew and trustee of the foundation, said the donation came from the proceeds of the couple’s substantial art collection.
