Television presenter Claudia Winkleman has been revealed as one of the BBC’s highest earners.
Ms Winkleman, who is best known for her presenting role on Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One, is paid between £450,000 and £499,999 a year, which puts her in the top 10 most highly paid stars at the public broadcaster.
Another presenter who earns a large salary - according to the list published by the BBC - is BBC Radio London broadcaster Vanessa Feltz. She earns between £350,000 and £399,999 a year.
Historian Simon Schama, who has made documentaries and is listed a presenter and contributor to the BBC, is paid between £150,000 and £199,999.
His documentary series on the history of the Jews, was broadcast in 2013.
Alan Yentob, who presents the BBC’s art series Imagine, earns between £200,000 and £249,999. Mr Yentob, 70, stepped down as creative director of the BBC in December 2015.
