Claudia Mendoza and Michelle Janes have agreed to continue sharing the Jewish Leadership Council’s top job on a permanent basis, the umbrella group said Wednesday.
The pair were appointed as interim co-CEOs last June, taking the reins from their predecessor Simon Johnson.
“Since being appointed six months ago, they have led the organisation through a highly turbulent period with great determination, collaboration and skill,” said JLC chair Jonathan Goldstein.
Ms Mendoza said it was “a great privilege to be asked to lead the Jewish Leadership Council and a pleasure to be doing it jointly with Michelle.”
Ms Janes said working with Ms Mendoza had “highlighted to me the huge potential for the future of our community.”
She said they had “an ambitious vision for the JLC and its central role in the sustainability and vibrancy of the Jewish community.”
