A 17-year-old Charedi boy who was in a coma after being assaulted at a Manchester tram station is now recovering at home.
Moshe Fuerst, who was born in Jerusalem, was released from the Salford Royal hospital last night.
His father Rabbi Michael Fuerst thanked the community for their prayers. He said: “I have tremendous gratitude for everyone who has prayed for him. I’m sure it contributed to his miraculous recovery.”
Meanwhile, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that two 17-year-old teenagers have been charged in connection with the verbal and physical attack on Moshe and three of his friends last Saturday night.
Both teenagers – who have not been identified – have been charged with one count of affray and assault.
Police have confirmed that the attack is being treated as a hate crime and that investigations were ongoing.
They are set to appear at Manchester Youth Court today.
A third teenager has been released without charge after he was arrested by GMP officers this week.
