BBC One's amateur art competition, The Big Painting Challenge (they could hardly call it The Great British Brush-Off), reaches its climax on Sunday.
And carrying heimishe hopes will be Essex-born Amy Goldring, 29, who has sported a Chai necklace throughout the contest. In the third week of the show, her still life depicted two Magen Davids on a single chain which represented "passing on the culture" to the next generation.
The artists' best work will go on display at Tate Britain.
Ms Goldring, who lives in South Wales with her husband and 18-month-old son Marley, said: "It's an amazing opportunity. I am hoping it will lead to me making a living out of art."
