British-based airline Wizz Air has announced it will be increasing flights to Israel next year.
The low-cost carrier announced an expansion at its Luton base, which included adding daily flights to Tel Aviv.
It currently flies to Tel Aviv on four days a week.
A spokesperson said the move would make Wizz Air “the largest low-cost operator operating in and out of Israel”.
The increase in flights has been made possible by the addition of four new Airbus A320 aircrafts, which will be part of the airline’s fleet by June 2018.
In October hundreds of Jewish passengers due to fly from the UK to Israel for Succot were left stranded after Monarch Airlines went into administration.
The carrier, which ran regular flights from London Luton and Manchester airport to Israel, was forced to cancel all its flights.
