Bob Dylan fans have been given a taste of the singer's upcoming triple covers album with the release of the first single from it.
I Could Have Told You is a popular standard, once recorded by Frank Sinatra.
It is taken from the hotly anticipated Triplicate, which will be out next month.
According to the Nobel Prize Winner’s website, the album will feature versions of classic songs such as Stardust, Stormy Weather and As Time Goes By, previously recorded by artists such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole.
Dylan has long been fascinated by the history and traditions of American popular song, and has released Shadows in the Night (2015) and Fallen Angels (2016), which featured new versions of songs recorded by Sinatra.
