What's the best way to test true friendship? Spend a week in the Australian bush where you are subjected to a series of gruelling challenges that must be completed as a twosome. Oh, and with no contact with the outside world.
This is exactly what JCoSS pupils Rosie Felt and Rebecca Ware will be doing when they take part in a new reality television series for Nickelodeon.
Camp Orange, which starts today, is part of the channel's summer holiday line-up to demonstrate the value of teamwork, trust and fair play. It features four pairs of best friends from Britain. Rosie and Rebecca, both 12 from north London, aim to be crowned "Champ Orange" - the fairest players of them all. Rosie said: "The experience was the best ever and one we will always remember. We have made some friends for life."
The duo were selected from thousands to take part in the show, unaware they would be travelling over 10,000 miles from home to Sydney. Rosie had seen the auditions advertised in her drama school newsletter. "It just looked amazing and we both wanted to really get onto the show."
Rosie added: "The whole experience was a challenge -but we rose to the occasion." So, are they still best friends? Of course.
