It is possible to have a career, a family and be a great mother, says employment lawyer , Belinda Goldman.
She has contributed to a new book: How to be an Amazing Mum When You Just Don’t Have the Time.
Ms Goldman, 40, advises mothers on how best to go back to work and improve their chances of flexible employment.
A partner at Hampstead solicitors, CKFT, she tells People: “Women are very bad at selling themselves. They should create the best possible impression before they go on maternity leave, stressing the contribution they intend to make when they return.
“Show your employer that you want to be kept in the loop and attend training days during your time off. You can work for ten days without losing the statutory entitlement. This shows the employer your head is still with them.”
