Beit Shvidler Primary School has appointed a new headteacher.

Simon Horleston, formerly deputy head at Round Diamond Primary in Stevenage, will replace Sara Keen at the Edgware school in September.

His appointment, according to chair of governors Darrel Yawitch, will "take our young school forward in the next phase of its development".

Mr Horleston said it was "a great privilege to be appointed. I'm excited to be given the opportunity".
