Barbra Streisand has renewed her attack on Donald Trump, labelling him “the fake president”.
The Jewish singer and actress, who was one of many celebrities to vow to leave America if Mr Trump won last year's presidential election, said that “an angry, hollow, vindictive man is running the country.”
In an article for the Huffington Post, the star questioned Mr Trump’s mental stability and referred to what she described as his many lies.
Ms Streisand commented that “the large ego of a small man drives the vindictiveness of his policies. This presidency is all about the perception of “winning” for Trump – no matter the cost to others.”
She added: “Residents of the world have taken note. According to a recent Pew Research Poll, international faith in the president of the United States to respond well to global crises is 22 per cent. This is down from 64 per cent when President Obama was in office.”
Earlier this year, Ms Streisand tweeted that Mr Trump was making her gain weight. She wrote "I start the day with liquids, but after the morning news, I eat pancakes smothered in maple syrup!"
Ms Streisand was a vocal supporter of defeated presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
