There was anger on Monday after photos emerged on social media showing that the Holocaust Memorial Garden in London's Hyde Park had been transformed into a makeshift memorial for the late Queen.
The garden was covered in flowers and messages in tribute to Her late Majesty, but there was widespread fury after it was repurposed by members of the members of the public on the day of her funeral.
Grace Dean, a reporter for Business Insider in London, tweeted in the early hours of Monday, "The Holocaust Memorial Garden in Hyde Park has now become a makeshift Queen Memorial Garden", and photos shows drawings and messages for the late monarch.
In a tweet liked by nearly 170,000 people, Rabbi Lev Taylor labelled it "profoundly inappropriate", while others slammed it as "desecration", "appalling", and "horrifying".
This is so profoundly inappropriate. https://t.co/wUojliuchD

A few hours after Ms Dean's tweet, The Royal Parks official Twitter account confirmed that they were removing the tributes to the late Queen and said that a steward would be placed there to ensure floral tributes were placed in the correct area.
Before 9am on Monday, The Royal Parks said: "Good morning Grace. The team are carefully removing the tributes from the Holocaust Memorial and laying them with the others in the official floral tribute area."
It added in a later tweet: "There is also a steward placed there permanently to direct people paying their respects to the floral tribute area."
