Footballer Nicolas Anelka, who was banned for making a quenelle gesture, is free to play in England again.
The Football Association has confirmed that the former Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea striker recently completed his mandatory education course, in addition to serving a five-game ban, and therefore can again join a club in England.
As a free agent the World Cup winner can be signed outside the current Transfer Window, which ends on Monday night.
The player made the inverted Nazi salute, popularised by antisemitic French comedian Dieudonné, after scoring for West Bromwich Albion in a Premier League game in December 2013.
West Brom chairman Jeremy Pearce sacked the forward after the FA handed down its verdict, which also included an £80,000 fine.
Mr Anelka saw out his suspension in the Indian Super League, going on to score twice in seven appearances for Mumbai City FC.
Most recently he looked set to sign for Algerian club NA Hussein Dey, but the 35-year-old fell foul of national rules which state any foreign player must be aged under 27 and a current international.
