Amy Winehouse did not have illegal drugs in her system when she died.

The Jewish singer, who died last month at the age of 27, had fought a high profile battle with addiction for several years.

But despite speculation about an overdose, a family spokesman said toxicology tests ruled out illegal drugs as a cause of death.

However the spokesman said that the tests did show that alcohol was present when she died, although it is not yet clear whether that was related to her death.
