Two Jewish schools have made it into the top 20 of the Sunday Times’ list of the 200 best-performing state primary schools in the UK.
Akiva School in Finchley, north-west London, ranked highest, at number 14, while King David Primary School in Manchester came in at number 17.
The Independent Jewish Day School Academy in Hendon, north-west London, featured at number 94.
Results were based on the schools’ key stage two Sats results in English and maths from 2014.
“Akiva is proud of its ranking,” said the school’s headteacher Susy Stone. “It is a credit to the children, their parents, the governors, and the superb staff team.”
