Ben Johnson was the hero for Broughton as the basement boys finally gained their first win of the MJSL season.

Broughton had failed to secure victory in any of their 17 league games before sneaking past Crumpsall 1-0 to gain three priceless points.

Sydney Fulda’s men are three points behind Leeds Maccabi 3rd, who held Republic of Mancunia 1st to a 2-2 draw.

Adam Kristall and Oliver Kristall were on target for the home side with Dan Batton and James Rosenberg replying for Republic.

Hyde Park followed up their Shonn Trophy success with a 5-3 win at Sporting JLGB.

Adam Herman and Oli Grant both scored twice with Dan Seligman getting on the scoresheet for the second consecutive game.

Moshe Hasid’s brace and an Anton Radiver strike was not enough for Sporting, who sank to their ninth league defeat of the season.

Oakhill brought the curtain down on their season with a 5-2 defeat against South Manchester SC 2nd.

Toby Levy scored twice with Marc Parry, Adam Jackson and a Neil Collins penalty completing the rout.

Harry Roache and Robert Selwyn were the goal men for Lions.
