Oakhill’s title challenge looks dead and buried after the Manchester students were held to a goalless draw by Republic of Mancunia 2nd.
The Lions are now 11 points behind league leaders Haroldeans with just seven games remaining and face a near impossible task to chase down the Merseysiders.
Despite creating a whole host of chances, the home side were unable to break through a resolute Republic defence and were made to settle for a point.
Haroldeans were awarded three points after their game with Leeds Maccabi 3rd was postponed with the visitors unable to raise a team.
Elsewhere, reigning champions Manchester Maccabi 3rd eased to a 4-1 victory over basement boys Broughton.
Miles Hilton, Jake Kelly and Jake Rubens were all on target with an own-goal completing Maccabi’s scoring. Osher Landes replied for the hosts.
Crumpsall’s home game against Republic of Mancunia 1st was postponed.
