Benjy Silverman fired Crumpsall into the final of the Tony Cohen Memorial Trophy following a shock victory over Republic of Mancunia 2nd.
Silverman’s stunning hat-trick allowed Zevi Saunders’ side to ease through 3-1 and bounce back from last weekend’s mauling by Haroldeans.
Crumpsall were hit for ten by the MJSL league leaders in their previous game, but they showed their character to fight past Republic.
Gary Freeman was on target for Paul Levy’s side, but it wasn’t enough as Crumpsall booked their place in the final.
Elsewhere, Oakhill moved to within five points of Haroldeans at the top of the table after an 8-0 win over Leeds Maccabi 3rd.
Roy Skop scored twice, while Josh Daniels, Marc Woolfe, Benji Las, Saul Shapiro, James Lewis and an own-goal completed the rout.
Hyde Park crashed to a dismal 5-1 defeat at Manchester Maccabi 3rd as David Domb’s side imploded against the defending champions.
Sheldon Lee grabbed a double for the home side, while Rafi Leker, Avi Libbert and the red-hot Jake Kelly were also on the scoresheet.
Broughton came within a whisker of claiming their second point of the season, before eventually going down 3-2 against South Manchester SC 2nd.
Max Seitler and Jacob Richler-Kleinman got the goals for Broughton but an Oli Black brace and a Simon Mattison strike gave South all three points.
