Lord’s was founded in 1787 and ranks as one of the most breathtaking and unusual venues in London. With the elegant old-world grandeur of its Grade-II listed Pavilion and stunning views over the turf, it’s an amazing setting for any celebration. Lord’s is located in St John’s Wood in central London, so it’s easy to reach. But it’s also secluded and tranquil – your own private green space in the heart of the city.
With a number of unique venues within the ground, there is a room to suit all party types and sizes. The Thomas Lord Suite is a large and versatile venue for a Bar and Bat Mitzvah or party for up to 250 guests. Its simple décor makes it easy to personalise in whatever way you wish and its late licence ensures you can dance the night away.
Within the Pavilion, the Long Room is a magnificent space for a dinner or lunch event for up to 200. With its high ceiling, glazed frontage and excellent views of the ground, it’s a fairy-tale venue for a sparkling winter occasion or an airy summer date. Drinks can be served in the characterful Long Room Bar before the banquet begins.
The Writing Room looks on to the ground from the north end of the Pavilion, and is an elegant and intimate setting for smaller party sizes for up to 70 guests. The spectacular and spacious Pavilion Roof Terrace is ideal for a summer reception. Its long balcony overlooks the entire ground, making it an idyllic place for your guests to enjoy drinks out in the sun. The Harris Garden is also available in the summer, a charming rose garden near the entrance to the Pavilion; it forms a lovely alfresco venue for summer receptions of up to 200 people.
As well as the beautiful and highly individual spaces for any celebration, the Lord’s event team are renowned for impeccable standards. You will have a dedicated event co-ordinator to ensure your event is perfect in every way. They promise the utmost attention to detail, outstanding food and superb service throughout. And, of course, the special magic that is Lord’s.
