London Maccabi Lions A joint-manager Josh Newman has confirmed that striker Michael Pearson will be returning to the club next season.

Pearson was the Premier Division’s top-scorer with 15 goals for Faithfold but the former JC MSFL Player of the Year will return to Rowley Lane to join the club who recently finished league runners-up.

The livewire striker, who used to play for Farnborough Town and Aldershot Town, enjoyed considerable success in his first spell at Lions and will boost a forward line that was already one of the most potent in the division.

Newman, who co-manages the team alongside his father, Malcolm, said: “Mike brings with him a huge amount of experience at this level, being amongst the top scorers each year and his added quality can only benefit the side.”

Malcolm Newman said: “A player of his quality and attitude will make a massive difference to the side.”
