1 min read

South Africa's Zimbali resort extends over 700 hectares and offers a rare combination of lush forest, soft-sand beaches and an 18-hole golf course on the lovely KwaZulu-Natal's Dolphin Coast, along the Indian Ocean.

"Zimbali" is the Zulu word for "valley of flowers" and this goes some way to describing the blossoming environment.

Within the estate is a 50-hectare reserve, with conservation areas abundant in local flora and fauna - and it's against this backdrop that the luxurious 154-room Fairmont Zimbali Lodge provides its Pesach holiday.

There are five outdoor swimming pools at the lodge (one of which is freshwater, surrounded by unspoilt forest and colourful plants and with a sparkling sea beyond.

The pools are amply supplied with loungers and the Willow Stream Spa has nine treatment rooms, a steam room and and a gym.

The resort is easy to access, as it is only a 20-minute drive from King Shaka International airport and close to Durban and Umhlanga.Get there on April 22, in time for lunch. There will be rabbis, speakers, entertaiment, themed evenings, a kids' club and babysitting.

The holiday ends on May 1.
