Inspired by myth and legend, Universal Orlando has revealed the story behind its new third theme park.
Volcano Bay, an immersive water theme park, is set to have beach-lined wave pools, a peaceful winding river, multi-rider raft rides and slides dropping you from the top of the volcano to the bottom when it opens on May 25.
The team which created the new Polynesian-style park have woven their own myths about the Waturi islanders, whose story is told by Volcano Bay, including a fire god and tale of his daughter’s forbidden love.

Around the world at Disney
The new third hotel to open at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is taking inspiration from four continents around the world, as well as a few well-loved Disney characters.
Opening at the end of April, the Disney Explorers Lodge, has 750 hotel rooms themed on Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania.
Named after characters from The Jungle Book, Up, The Lion King and Finding Nemo, there will be four gardens, pool and restaurants on site.

Ibiza's stylish new look
Ibiza is getting a luxury makeover with the five-star Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay opening on June 30 this year. Part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group, the hotel will be set on Talamanca Bay, just over a mile from Ibiza Town.
Designed for families and adult-only breaks, there will be four restaurants, including Nobu’s signature Japanese fusion, as well as two seafront pools, Six Senses spa and a kids’ club.
The adventure festival
Save the date for the second Steppes Travel Beyond Festival, taking place on September 30 to October 1 this year.
Featuring new adventurers and travellers aiming to raise awareness and funding for wildlife and conservation charities, there will be panel discussions and seminars by travel authors, along with photography masterclasses and art exhibitions, plus a programme of documentaries and talks.
Last year’s line-up included Sir Ranulph Fiennes, TV naturalist Chris Packham and champion freediver Hanli Prinsloo.
