If you’re planning a summer escape to Cornwall this year, there’s a new alternative to driving or the train, with flights from British Airways between London Heathrow and Newquay. The new route will run from July 2 until September 7, with flights five days a week and fares from £90.

You’ll also be able to fly directly to Tel Aviv from Stansted Airport, on a new route from El Al. Operating from Sunday to Thursday, the first flight will take off on June 28 and it’s due to run until at least September 3, joining the airline’s flights from Luton and Heathrow. Return fares will start from £280.

Meanwhile Virgin Atlantic has announced the launch of new flights to Cape Town, which will start from October 25.

Flying from London Heathrow, return tickets are expected to cost from around £700 on the daily route, and are available to buy now.
