HARMEN 0 NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS A 4
Rob Richman believes Norstar London Raiders showed another side to their game after a polished 4-0 performance against title rivals Harmen.
Braces from Matt Stock and Ben Joseph guided Raiders to their eighth league win of the season as they moved to within two points of leaders Hendon, with a game in hand.
NLR showed defensive resilience in the first half, with Josh Pistol and Justin Spiro absorbing everything Harmen threw at them.
Goalless at the break, the foundations had been laid for Stock and Joseph to work their magic with four finishes of the highest qualities, including a sublime free-kick from summer signing Joseph.
Before praising his team, NLR boss Rob Richman told JC Sport: "Firstly, and most importantly, we wish both George Fierstone and Ollie Leslie speedy recoveries from the injuries they picked up. We hope they are back on the football pitch before too long."
Reflecting on the game, he added: "We are absolutely delighted to have won a real tough battle against a talented Harmen side.
"Harmen showed us earlier this season that if you under-estimate them they will punish you and they came into this game full of confidence after a good result against Hendon last weekend. This though was up there with the best we have played all season, even playing against the wind in the first half we were compact and solid defensively and threatening in attack.
"The second half, with the wind with us, we played some quite great football and scored four goals in quick succession without reply.
"Ben Joseph and Matt Stock will take the plaudits, but this was a real collective effort, from front to back we were excellent and if we continue in the same manner we will be a very tough side to beat."
