Jason Stein described JACOB RICHLER-KLEIMAN as the "best striker in the league" as Oakwood B confirmed their place in the quarter-finals with a stunning comeback against a shell-shocked Jewdinese.
The Oaks found themselves 3-0 down against their Division Two rivals, but they staged the mother of all comebacks, inspired by Richler-Kleiman, with further strikes from Dave Eden, Elliot Jackson, James Abrams and Marc Hymanson adding the gloss as they came away from the group phase with a 100 per cent record, following wins over Hendon B and Temple Fortune
Stein told JC Sport: "I'm delighted with the win given we found ourselves 3-0 down. Some would say it's the greatest comeback since Likud somehow returned to power. I couldn't possibly comment though.
"We were the far better side but we were our own worst enemy for 10 minutes. Sloppy errors, individual mistakes and a poor attitude saw Jewdinese go 3-0 up. They're a quick and clinical side and it was really poor from us.
"What followed was more like it as we stuck seven on the scoresheet. Jacob wasn't even playing up front today but still scored 3. The best striker in the league, no question.
"There were some bizarre accusations floating around after the game that our goalkeeper Jacob Ailion wasn't registered. That's nonsense. He's been registered for Oaks since the end of the last year.
"Conspiracy theories aside, Jewdinese played the game in a good spirit and it was a testing encounter.
"We've come to the boil nicely. Four wins in a row and 22 goals scored. We're buzzing for the quarter final and we'll be confident no matter who we face."
With Richler-Kleiman in top nick, don't bet against the Oaks going all the way to Wingate.
