Jamie Sinai earned what could prove to be a priceless victory for struggling Catford & Bromley as they edged past FC Team B at Norsemen FC.

Played in a very difficult conditions, a very good match transpired in which both teams really threw everything at each other.

Team played some really good football at times in the second half after Catford had had the lion's share of the first half, winning a string of corners.

Despite hitting the bar in the second half, the Team keeper was the busier in the first period, saving well from Sinai and debutant Rupert Bennet.

In the second, David Powell in the holding midfield role almost single handedly repelled every attack and when they did manage to bypass him, Jeff Gotch, Ryan Kangisser, Simon Wolfson and Adam Luria were all faultless in defence. When a shot finally made its way through on target, Guy Ben Aroya pulled off a stunning save despite slipping in the muddy goalmouth.

Sinai struck late on after Jonny Lee broke down the right, beating two men before driving into the area and firing a shot which the Team keeper couldn't hold and poacher extraordinaire Sinai was on hand to stick the ball in.

Catford & Bromley captain Adam Luria told JC Sport: "It was a very even game, but it was brilliant to get the win and hopefully we can take that same performance level forward to the rest of the season as we need some more wins to get ourselves out of trouble."
