Israel's Yarden Gerbi took silver in the women's under 63 kilo World Judo Championships in Russia.
In a repeat of last year's final, Gerbi, 25, was beaten by Clarisse Agbegnenou of France who prevented Gerbi from claiming back-to-back titles.
Gerbi said: "Last year I would have been happy to come home with any medal. But after winning gold last year, I was never going to be fully satisfied with silver.
"But on balance I'm more happy than disappointed because I've been on very poor form so far this year."
