MANCHESTER MACCABI YELLOW 3 HAROLDEANS 6
Adam Shiffman’s hat-trick ensured Haroldeans remain in contention for winning the MJSL championship.
The Merseysiders are five points off the leaders but they maintained their challenge thanks to another comfortable win.
Shiffman bagged a treble, while Adam Boyars (2) and Mat Alis also weighed in.
Maccabi Manchester Yellow have had no problem finding the net this season but an elusive first win still evades them.
Simon Mann, Simon Rabinowitz and Aaron Englander all netted but Haroldeams skipper Jonny Harris claimed the hosts got off lightly at Brooklands.
Harris said: "We were very good and I think the two late goals flattered Manchester Maccabi Yellow.
"We were on the front foot for the majority of the game and we could have easily hit double figures.
“It was important that we started fast and we then got our rewards. Special mention must go to Adam Shiffman and Boyars who were outstanding.”
Meanwhile, second-half goals from Lee Goldwater and Harry Nelson helped South Manchester Sports 2nd see off Maccabi Manchester Yellow.
Mark Magid’s side coasted home 2-0 to climb into fourth spot in the table.
