Sela, 34, beat Lee Duck-Hee (218) 6-1, 4-3 in a final which saw the Korean forced to retire due to stomach cramps.

Sela said: “I had a good feeling about playing in Little Rock because my name means rock in Hebrew. My aim now is to get back into the top 100 this year.”

Plagued by injuries over the past 12 months, this was Sela’s first tournament win since the Nottingham Open in 2017. The Israeli said he will not play at the forthcoming grass tournaments in the UK this month and will carry on playing  Challenger tournaments in the hope of qualifying for the US Open.
