Revitalised Levenfiche leads way as champs fly out of the traps

Daniel Levenfiche, last season’s Player of the Year, started the season where he left off, scoring four second-half goals as defending champions North West Neasden A thumped Glenthorne United A 5-0. Danny Cohen claimed the other.

Premier Division new boys South Manx A beat London Maccabi Lions B 2-1 with strikes from Jamie Kent and captain Paul Babai.

Shock of the day came at Rowley Lane where efforts from Ben Kon, Chaim Gothold and Gav Noe earned Hendon B a 3-2 victory over Lions A.

Lions scored either side of half time but Hendon took the points.

Division One title hopefuls Montana Boca United A made hard work of beating Red Sea. Gary Cohen (2) and summer signing Toby Lustigman struck in a 3-2 win.

Jonny Blain (2) and Jamie Woolfson (2) helped North London Raiders A come from behind four times to draw 4-4 against Neasden B. Alex Bowman (2), Robert Bloch and Danny Daggers netted for NWN.

Alex Bourne, who recently married Rachel Stevens, scored a hat-trick as Southgate Harmen A hammered Camden Park 6-0. Ben Forman, Darren Gale and Ori Kobi, completed the rout.

Mitch Young (4), James Ryan (2), and Simon Buchler eased FC Team A to a 7-1 victory over Faithfold B. Alex Hershman (2) and Simon Gold helped Southgate Harmen B beat Holy Mount Zion 3-0. HMZ finished with 10 men after a player was sent off for foul and abusive language.

An late own goal was enough to give North London Raiders B victory at London Maccabi Lions C.

Rapid Banta caused one of the upsets of the day, beating last season’s Division Three champions FC Team B in a seven-goal thriller.

Stefan Simons (2), Jeremy Newton and Paul Samuels were on the mark. A goal direct from a corner from Jamie Berstein together with one from player-coach Benji Peters earned FC Heath a 2-1 win at Hendon United C in Division Three. Ben Russell replied.

Josh Lewis (2), Daniel Cordell (2), Lee Greenfield and an own goal steered L’Equipe to a 6-1 win over South Manx B. Montana Boca United B came from behind to beat FC Marylebone 4-1.

Two goals from debutant Darren Bloom plus strikes from Jeff Gotch and, Mark Simons completed the comeback.

Ben Eliad (2), Eli Houri (2), Sammy Kalms (2), Jeremy Elster and Josh Green steered UJS Norstar A to an 8-2 win over Catford & Bromley Maccabi.

Two from Josh Cowen inspired Blizzard Storm to a 3-2 victory against Jewventus in Division Four. Gabriel John and Reuben John replied. UJIA beat Pinner JFC 4-1 with goals from Darren Rolfe, Alex Seligman, Dan Roth and Oliver Henry on the scoresheet.
