JORDAN SHARIFIAN (GK) - It’s been a sensational debut season for the big man. A former striker for Anderlecht and Temple Fortune, Jordan’s penalty saves and match-winning stops have won numerous games for Lions this season. Loves turning up late with a glass of tea on a Sunday morning nagging to play up front.
RICHARD GOLD (RB) - For more than 10 seasons, the better-looking Gold brother played as a centre midfielder. Recently realised that becoming a right-back meant he wouldn't be on the bench every week. Fresh out of two weeks at the David Beckham Soccer Academy.
ESHED RAHAV (RB/LB/RM/LM) - The utility man has become integral to the team during the business-end of the season, especially away at Manchester Maccabi with his hummus in pita. The oldest member of the squad.
MAX HASSELL (CB) - Hass plays with his heart on his sleeve. It’s all blood and guts. Occasionally forgets that he’s on a football pitch and not in a scrum on the rugby field. If Lions win this cup, watch out Instagram.
ALEX TAYLOR (CB) - Another fantastic season at the back. He’s king of the heroic slide-tackle, which ironically has proven to be his achilles heel, as a red card in the semi-final for a strong challenge sees him suspended for the final. A huge miss for the side.
JAMIE JACKSON (CB/CM) - Our Scot and superstar DJ. Jacko and his pre-match tunes dominate the changing room. His team-mates hope he's had his traditional cup final haircut and eyebrow trimmed like last year's final and will still be on the pitch when other half turns up.
WILL BERESFORD (LB) - Followed Ryan Springer back into management mid-way through the season. Does much less work, but still ensures himself a starting place every week. Makes sure the kit is washed and shouts at everything in sight from the football to James Gold.
BEN LAMPERT (CM) - Former skipper, retired due to charity boxing commitments which he won, hoping to have him back for the final.
MAX MISRAHI (CM) - Contender for player of the season. Tough tackling central midfielder Miz, has grown in confidence and performances as the season has progressed. We can’t believe he’s still a teenager! Has a big future ahead.
AUSTIN LIPMAN (CM) - Former Arsenal U21 star has yet to win the Peter Morrison Trophy. Chalashing for the chance to add it to his trophy cabinet, alongside his Cyril Anekstein winners medal and smoked salmon bagel.
ADAM ARNOLD (CM) (Captain) - Another masterstroke by Springer, this time by making Arny skipper. Getting out of bed is no longer a concern on a Sunday. Captain Fantastic has come into his own over the past few games with huge performances against Manchester and Raiders in the cup and turning up on time.
TYLER SMITH (CM/LM) - Young talent with bags of skill and ability. First team commitments have meant that we haven’t had the luxury of having Tyler at our disposal too much this season.
JACK MATTEY (RM) - Another Lions first team regular with lots of flair (hair) and good looks. It’s been a pleasure to have Jack in the squad this season, we had to book the final around his holidays.
JAMES GOLD (LM) - assistant to the assistant manager, Jimmy has been there week in week out this season, playing through the pain barrier. There were question marks as to whether he would play for a Ryan Springer team again, but Jimmy couldn’t let pride stand in the way of the PMT. Fresh out of two weeks at the David Beckham soccer academy and hoping to last more than 21 minutes.
ADAM BURCHELL (LM/RM) - Last season’s cup final late goal hero. Burch has achieved a tremendous amount in only a few years of senior football, still not as quick as he used to be. Plays when he wants and scores when he wants.
JAMIE COHEN (RM/CF) - Debut season in men’s football. JME has put in some impressive performances this season and we hope to see more over the years when he's awake.
AKIVA LEVIN (CF)- Kiki has had a whirlwind of a season. The teenager has scored vital goals in his debut season of senior football. Can bench press more than anyone in the squad and will be cycling up the M1 to the cup final.
MAX KYTE (CF) - after his sabbatical won us the quarter final in Manchester and unfortunately got injured in the semi-final tackling himself. Best body in the league, recently turned vegan.
SAM HAMERTON (RB/RM/CM) - Young talent with a fantastic attitude and great work ethic, carrying an injury but hopeful he will make an appearance.
RYAN SPRINGER (Manager) - Vowed that he wouldn’t be back after his managerial debut last season. However, after a few phone calls midway through the season Ryan was back running this kindergarden.
SAM ARGHEBANT (Assistant-manager) - Injury (and age) has kept Arg out of action this season. This left him with a choice between A) staying at home with his heavily pregnant newly wed wife or B) standing next to Springer on the touch line in the rain every Sunday morning. Hasn’t regretted a single moment.
