David Peters, 41, ran his first sub-two minute 800m as an M40 veteran at the Herne Hill Harriers Open Meeting. Taking the lead from the start and enjoying perfect conditions for racing, his winning time of 1:58.95 places him third in his age group in the country.

Harrow AC runner Nick Davis, 18, set a 400m PB of 52.31 in the British Athletics League in Eton.

Cardiff AC runner Nathaniel Lane, 36, recorded a 5000m season’s best of 16:03.32 at the same meeting.
