MLFC sent out a predominately young team but included a couple of older heads to try and help the youngsters out. Theiir game-plan was working superbly in the first half as they controlled the game and went ahead on ten minutes through a superb move down the left which ended with Charlie Ezra slotting a superb shot into the corner of the net.
Following the goal, MLFC were intent sit back and soak up Camden pressure. They continued to defend strongly in the second half and limited Camden to only a few chances.
Camden’s management team tinkered the formation to 3-4-3 with 15 minutes remaining and pushed the Camden back line on to the half way line to squeeze the home side.
This created a high-tempo end to the game with chances at both ends. Clever work in the middle of the park from Ric Harris released Orgel down the right ring and he set up Mike Khalastchi for his first competitive goal of the season.
With extra-time looming Camden, who had already been victims of an upset in the Peter Morrison Trophy, had the momentum now and their search for a late winner came to fruition in added time when Orgel headed an inch-perfect cross from Jake Suanders into the bottom right hand corner to secure the tie and spark jubilant scenes at Rowley Lane.
Camden boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "Credit to MLFC who put a lot into this game. They are a young side with some gifted players. I was particularly impressed by their movement.
"Unluckily for them we managed to convert our chances when the game got stretched and I am proud of the boys for showing the Camden character in coming back to win this match.
"We look forward to getting back into the league next week and climbing the table."
MLFC's Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "It was a real sickener today as having lead for 70 minute from a great Charlie Ezra strike, we gave away two goals in the last ten minutes. Unfortunately as the game went on Camden got more into the game and drew level with seven minutes left and then scored the winner in injury-time.
"The boys will learn from this, especially the younger ones, and will come back stronger next week."
