Jake Berger struck a dramatic winner as Manchester Maccabi 3rd condemned league leaders Haroldeans to a rare defeat.

Haroldeans have now lost three times in a row to Maccabi, but Ivan Gee’s side remain
five points clear at the summit with a game in hand.

Elsewhere, South Manchester SC 2nd saw off Crumpsall 5-2 to move into fourth place in the MJSl.

Nathan Ezair, Mark Collins, Jake Feinstein, Adam Davies and an own-goal ensured South claimed all three points.

Zalmy Lachs and Moshe Noe were both on target for the visitors.

In the first round of the Shonn Trophy, Paul Basger grabbed a hat-trick as Republic of Mancunia 1st battered MJSL basement boys Broughton 8-0.

Andy Rosenberg scored twice, while Mike Gastwirth, Dylan Sidle and an own-goal completed the rout.

Gary Freeman and Andrew Shaffer both scored twice in their Shonn Trophy first round game as Republic of Mancunia 2nd defeated Leeds Maccabi 3rd 4-0.

In the second round of the competition, Hyde Park eased past Sporting JLGB 4-1 thanks to a David Seligman double.

David Herman and Oli Grant were also on target for the hosts with Rafi Bloom replying for Sporting.
