JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- JONATHAN PETERS (Scrabble FC) - a breathtaking shot from distance against Boca
- ANDY SHEENA (FC Team B) - ball came out form a corner 35 yards out, Sheena flicked the ball over the on-rushing defender trapped the ball and with no back-lift powered the ball into the top corner - one of the best goals Mitch Young has seen in 10 years of Sunday football
- SAMMY KINGSTON (ML Lions B) - scored a worldie against Bilbaum - a 35-yard screamer in to the top right-hand corner of the goal. The left-back dribbled the ball from the half-way line and drilled it straight into the top right hand corner. Was truly unbelievable
- DEAN ROSENTHAL (ML Lions B) - a teamwork goal, where Ed Brafman played it up to Josh Bloom on the edge of the box who held the ball up fantastically. He then played it out wide to the overlapping Jake Hyman. Jake got to the byline and drilled a ball on the floor into the six-yard box where Dean Rosenthal tucked it away
- SAM REEVES (Faithfold B) - GOAL 2 - unstoppable free-kick into the top corner against NLR B

Dean Shaw equalised on the hour mark, a great bit of play from Brad Cohen to put him in and a good finish.

NLR manager Rob Richman told JC Sport: "We are pleased to mark the start of the season with a win. It was a tough game where Blizzard deserve a lot of credit for the way they defended throughout."

Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: It was a really positive performance. I'm delighted with the attitude of my boys - for the entire 90 minutes we didn't stop working and stuck to the game-plan."

TREMENDOUS TEAM IN 7-HEAVEN
LONDON ROVERS 0 FC TEAM B 7
The honeymoon is over for London Rovers who had no answer to the power of FC Team who sent out a real statement of intent with a 7-0 demolition.

ANDY SHEENA fired a treble, with two apiece from Richard Salmon and Jon Breger adding the gloss.

FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "Our squad is strong Salmon and Sheena are bidding to do out do each other in goal scoring and that was without Ben Binder! Rovers are nice guys and I wish them well. Shana tovah and bring on next week."

Rovers boss Jeremy Brown told JC Sport: "It was a very tough day, we had a good first half but conceding two soft goals just before half-time gave us a bit too much work to do against a very good team. The second-half became very difficult and losing our first league game in over a year feels a bit sour. All we can do now is bounce back as quickly as possible and focus on collecting as many points as possible this season. Shana Tova to all."

A deadly double from Tom Alexander condemned SPEC FC to their second straight defeat as Woodford started with a win.

Alexander was helped by assists from Alex Aviram and Darryl Green in a good Woodford performance.

Woodford joint-boss Daryl Kay told JC Sport: "It was a solid performance from the team and we controlled the game from start to finish. Another assist from Aviram and a brace from Tom Alexander, both players continuing their excellent form from pre-season. We were better in every position today and kept up our intensity for 90 minutes. No team will have an easy game against us this season. Winning is our only priority."
