A brilliant brace from Avi Korman helped Hendon boost their treble hopes by completing a hat-trick of wins of FC Team A this season.

Simon Peterman finished the job as Hendon stormed five points clear of Raiders, who have two games in hand.

Harmen kept alive their title challenge with a convincing 5-1 success over Lions Blue.

Two goals apiece from top-scorer James Gershfield and recent arrival Daniel Green, against his former club, added to an opener from Brad Sharp. Rick Jacobson pulled one back for the Lions.

Harmen joint-manager Joel Alterman told JC Sport: "We looked comfortable throughout this game, with chances being created and taken throughout."

Lions boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "We won't be able to beat teams like Harmen if we gift them goals. Some of our football was woeful."

JAMIE KENT marked his deadline day return to Brixton with a match-winning treble to end Blancos's long, unbeaten run.

There were also goals for Josh Kalinsky and Stefan Benfredj, who fired the winner, as Brixton gave their hopes of avoiding the drop a major boost.

Not to be outdone, SIMON MOSES fired a treble for Blancos, with Adam Hersh also finding the net.

Delighted Brixton boss Alan Aronson told JC Sport: "They were unbeaten since October. Furthermore, we lost our last two games to them 9-3 and 5-2. Furthermore, we were on a bad losing streak. In view of this we decided to reassess our game plan which included some serious gambles and it paid off! All our lads were heroic."

JACOB RICHLER-KLEIMAN was the star man as Oakwood B gave their fans some much-needed cheer with an emphatic win over Raiders.

Charlie Cohen also found the net for the Oaks, with Oli Nathan snatching a consolation for NLR.

Oaks boss Jason Stein told JC Sport: "This was the showing that has been trying to show its head for a few weeks now and it was a joy to be part of from the minute we arrived at The Spear to the minute we left."

NLR manager Zack Gothelf told JC Sport: "It was a bad day at the office for L'Orange."

FC TEAM B 3 AC WHETSTONE 2
Andy Sheena fired a double as FC Team B closed in on the title with a hard-fought win against a spirited AC Whetstone. Danny Moss also made a welcome return to the scoresheet for the hosts.

Dan Cohen accounted for both Whetstone goals, including a sensational free-kick.

Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "When you are top of the league and challenging for the title it is about coming away with the points and we showed great character to come back twice to win the game."

Whetstone joint-manager Clive Nathan told JC Sport: "To say we are disappointed is an understatement. Even a draw would have been rough justice on us."

Jules Bohm and Dave Prager registered for L'Equipe, with joint-manager Josh Lewis telling JC Sport: "Overall we felt hard done by, but we'll take a lot of positives from the football we played and the effort from the lads."
