Having won the Peter Morrison Trophy for the last two seasons, Hendon have prioritised the coveted MGBSFL title in what promises to be another dramatic season full of twists and turns.
COMPETITIONS ENTERED: We've entered the usual three competitions in the Maccabi league, plus the Sunday FA Challenge Cup.
HOPES FOR SEASON: Anything less than winning the title will be considered failure. As always, we will be looking for long runs in all the cup competitions as well. We know that aiming high leaves no room for error, but we are confident that we can wrest the title back from Norstar this year.
SQUAD ADDITIONS: The squad is a superb blend of experienced and youth. We have signed three very exciting youngsters, all of whom played at Maccabiah level - Zack Lewis, Zack Collins and Sami Zerovabeli. They are all strong, young, pacy forwards and we have high hopes for all of them. We may also look to sign a couple of young defenders as well.
WHICH ONE EXCITES YOU MOST? Zack Lewis has one of the most natural first touches and skill that I have ever seen. He is lightening quick and a great finisher. He will appear in many a headline this year.
PLAYERS OUT: We've lost Tali Nevies and Avishai Kestenbaum. Avidan Last has retired after a superb long and successful career with Hendon.
ONES TO WATCH: I strongly believe that Avi Korman should have won Young Player of the Year last year. He is a fantastic all-round driving force and he will have a massive year. We also expect Dovi Fehler and a committed Yoav Kestenbaum to be very influential all season.
MAIN RIVALS: I'm sure Norstar will be very strong as always. I expect them to be our closest challengers. I think Redbridge and Harmen will also be competing at the top.
WHAT WILL YOUR TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON? We will bring proper footballing mentality, no back chat to officials, good pacy attacking football, lots of goals and some great quotes for the national newspapers.
