Norstar London Raiders A will have to wait at least a fortnight for their first MGBSFL Premier Division title after Hendon United Sports Club A won a double-header. Danny Caro reflects on all the action on Matchday 25 of the season.

There was high drama in White City as Hendon put NLR's title party on hold with a six-point haul from a double-header against Camden.
In match one, Camden took the lead, but Hendon rallied superbly with a quality double from Yoav Kestenbaum.
Match two was settled late on, with Greg Corin and Mordi Weiler breaching the Camden back-line.
Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "The Norstar party is on hold - they have accumulated 45 out of 54 points, which is an amazing achievement, and congratulations to them for that; however we need them to keep their champagne on ice until sometime in the middle of May and if we do we might just be opening it up instead."

CHAMPAGNE REMAINS ON ICE FOR RAIDERS
NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS A 2 OAKWOOD A 1
Raiders ended their league campaign in style - beating Oakwood 2-1, just as I predicted. Another strike from David Dinkin plus an own goal helped Phil Peters' men record their 14th league win and finish on 45 points.
Oakwood's goal came through Bradley Wine
But with Hendon winning a double-header against Camden, their title celebrations remain on ice for at least a couple of weeks.
NLR boss Phil Peters told JC Sport: "45 points from 18 games is a fantastic return and far beyond our pre-season expectations where we were aiming for a top-half finish."
Oakwood joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "It was a different Oakwood, but one I'd like to see from the start as opposed to when the game is seemingly lost. We're lucky in that we get another crack at a really good Norstar side (who are rightly going to be crowned champions) in two weeks time. We'll leave that for now and focus on Camden. If we win that we can start talking about Prem football next season."

LONDON MACCABI LIONS WHITE 6 FC TEAM A 1
Lions leapfrogged FC Team after hitting Mitch Young's men for six at Rowley Lane in a relegation six-pointer.
Super-sub Jack Green was the game-changer, scoring at the back post on his first touch and gave an assist within minutes of coming on. James Gershfield, Ben Winters (2), Peter Lazard and Sam Shooter finished the job.
Adam Rones grabbed a consolation for Team.
LML assistant-manager Johnny Meltzer told JC Sport: "It was a good solid result and nice to see this young squad bounce back from a defeat the previous week in the cup. We will just keep on focusing our games, but it is nice to see the boys competing week in week out."

Hendon B produced one of the performances of the day as they upset the formbook to place a huge dent in Woodford's title hopes with a 3-0 win in east London.
After watching DAVID GARFINKLE smash home a hat-trick, jubilant Hendon boss Aryeh Goldring told JC Sport: "It was a really organised performance which we controlled from start to finish."
Disappointed Woodford boss Tony Charles told JC Sport: "Today's performance was below-par - to lose in the manor that we did against a team at the bottom of the league is unacceptable. We turned up expecting to win, and their mind-set wasn't right from the start. In truth the boys had more tequila shots last night then shots on goal this morning. I would rather put my crown jewels in an egg-slicer then pick some of those players again!"

The Blancos boys registered their fourth consecutive league win, with Jono Gaon blasting a double to inflict more misery on struggling SPEC FC.
SPEC goal-scorer Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: ""It was a classic 'game of two halves'. We were great in the first half and awful in the second."

CHIGS ON THE MONEY
CHIGWELL ATHLETIC 6 BRIXTON OLD BOYS 1
Chigwell made it two wins of the spin as they put Brixton to the sword to ease their relegation fears.
Brixton forged ahead through Alon Hershkorn after 15 minutes, but an own goal and a strike from Glenn Michaels took Chigs into the break 2-1 up. Chigwell then stepped up a gear, with goals from James Jaconelli, Ryan Cole and Neil Tilley punishing Brixton.
Chigs boss Richard Slater told JC Sport: "Our class told in the end and Brixton simply ran out of steam and their physical and direct play ran it's course."

A solitary effort from the red-hot Josh Newman earned Brady a crucial win against table-topping Harmen at Rowley Lane.
Brady's seventh league win moved them to within four points of the Southgate club, with three games in hand.

Joni Kleiman pulled one back for the Hustlers with his third goal in two games.
Cats captain Adam Luria told JC Sport: "There's a long way to go until we're back to our best, but we'll take the win and move on."
Hendon boss Adam Glekin told JC Sport: "I cannot fault the effort we showed, we deserved a draw at the very least from the game - which to be honest wasn't a great spectacle. Unfortunately we just didn't have enough craft or guile in the final third to break down a decent Catford defence."

Nick Haringman bagged a brace as Raiders C boosted their title hopes with a handsome win over King Crown.
Further strikes from Liam Stein, Alex Goodman, Jonny Blain and Will Ufland completed the rout.
NLR boss Zack Gothelf told JC Sport: "We've got 2 massive games in the next two weeks against two title challengers. If we come through those then the title could well be heading our way."
Sacha Nusenbaum had pulled one at 2-1, but King Crown "collapsed in the last 30 minutes," according to boss Jacob Kadoch.

Temple Fortune climbed off the foot of the table with victory in a seven-goal thriller against Loughton.
Veteran striker Laurence Swerner, the in-form Dave Sawyer (2) and Zach Rich sealed the points.
Josh Jacobs (2) and Barry Green registered for Loughton who finished with nine men after two red cards - one of handball on the goalline and another for foul and abusive language.
Fortune boss Jonathan Cohen said: "On the whole it was a deserved win, but our finishing was very wasteful. Full credit to the nine men of Loughton for their effort. We switched off and let them back into the game but I'm delighted with the points."
